No Name-Calling Week 2017: January 16-20
Kindness in Action!
We celebrate kindness by putting it into action! Every year for No-Name Calling Week, GLSEN provides students and educators with the tools and inspiration to launch an on-going dialogue about ways to challenge bullying and name-calling in their communities.
This No Name-Calling Week begins on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and ends on the Presidential Inauguration. It is an important opportunity to show allyship to LGBTQ students, particularly transgender and gender nonconforming (GNC) students, as well as LGBTQ students of color.
Motivated by the simple, yet powerful, idea — and supported by over 60 national partner organizations — No Name-Calling Week is celebrated each year in schools across the nation.
Join us in celebrating No Name-Calling Week January 16-20, 2017. Whether you’re a teacher, student, community organizer, bus driver, guidance counselor, coach, or librarian, show you care by organizing a week of activities at your school aimed at ending name-calling once and for all.
