Spring Equinox!!!!

Old Farmer's Almanac picture
Happy Spring Equinox - are we New Englanders happy for this day or what!    Spring officially began today Monday, March 20th at 6:29 am EDT, still had to warm up my car since it was only around 22 this morning at 7:15 am in the sun in the car, however, for a great many of us, we are still looking at the remains of the snow fall from Tuesday, March 14th.  We definitely are hopeful that "March has come in like a lion and will leave like a lamb"!  Well we can always be optimistic, opening day at Fenway is April 3rd, now you know which metropolitan city gets my loyalty!  To learn more about the Spring Equinox,  check out the links below:

Spring - Yes it is coming - if a bit slowly!

These flowers are named what I will not say in this post!

I know what the end of the week forecast is saying ---- we are not mentioning it here (see picture above and to the side) ---- we are talking about SPRING in this post - not the continuing falling of last season's favorite precipitation - after all, BOSTON got its record!

For more information about this SPRING season that seems to be moving every so slowly ------

Spring Arrives at 12:57 pm on Thursday!

Okay, Spring 12:57 pm on Thursday ---- Did someone remind Mother Nature?  I know that Spring arrives tomorrow, however, did you look at the long range forecast?  Heck, did you have to warm up your car this morning!!!!!  Just what about the piles of snow still gracing the ends of the driveway????  I know March's full moon is called the Worm Moon --- I don't think worms can get through the frozen soil!!!!!

I know this is New England and there is the 'old Yankee saying' in regards to the weather ---- "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute and it will change" ---- just how many minutes are we talking about?
